how does it perform (reliability-wise, performance obviously depends on other variables).

My main question being if there's anyone out there that runs EX3 (or even EX2) on a Mac under Boot camp? If so. (seems silly to get a Mac just to run XP on though however it's not likely that E-mu/Creative will port EX3 over to OSX).

meaning that I'll probably be looking to Bootcamp and an XP install to run all of the above on. My main concern is that my main software sampler that I run as a VSTi is E-mu Emulator X3 (fairly recent purchase) so I'm pretty eager to stay committed to that. I'm also running SoundForge and Acid but they tend to be for remix/mega-mix projects rather than music generation.

which appears to have died yesterday prompting thoughts of a MacBook Pro to replace it with.įortunately I'm running legitimate Cubase 5, Reaktor, a couple of TC Powercore firewires and associated software so everything is pretty much PC and Mac compatible bar the odd FX plug-in and free VSTi.

Once more I'm thinking of switching over to a Mac for music duties.Ĭurrently running XP on an average dual-core AMD PC as my main music computer and up until yesterday had a second HP laptop for mobile-music duties.
